Printing methods for promotional and gift items
Digital Transfer (DTF)
Digital Transfer (DTF) is one of the most popular techniques for printing full-color logos and graphics in photographic quality. Colors (CMYK) are first digitally printed onto a large paper roll. Then, a white layer is printed on the areas covered with colors. Subsequently, an adhesive is added to allow adhesion to the object. The final step of the process is applying the transfer image or logo to the item. Using pressure and heat, the graphics are transferred onto the substrate.
Laser engraving
Laser engraving can be applied to items made of materials such as wood, glass, rubber, or various metals. With laser engraving, the resulting text or logo is precise, clean, permanent, and looks luxurious. The logo is first uploaded to the laser machine. Using a fiber laser (hard laser: mostly used for engraving metals or solid objects) or a CO2 laser (soft laser: mostly used for engraving natural materials), the top layer of the material is "burned off." The logo then becomes visible.
The company i-reklamka s.r.o. also offers the option of 360 laser engraving on cylindrical objects, such as glass, plastic, or metal bottles. This technique is only possible on items without handles.
Embossing and hot stamping
Embossing is a popular technique for branding products made of leather, PU, or cardboard. The logo is first engraved into a metal die. The logo is then pressed into the material, creating a permanent impression. The material must be thick enough to withstand the machine's pressure, and the surface must be even and flat.
Screen printing
Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a mesh in a frame to transfer ink onto an object. The ink is placed on the mesh and then pressed through it onto the product, but only in areas where the print is intended to be. Only one color is printed in a single pass, so several screens must be used to create a multi-colored image or logo. After printing, the product is placed in a drying tunnel to cure the ink on the item.
360 Screen Printing
With 360 screen printing, the same technique is applied to a cylindrical object. The object is rotated during printing, resulting in a circular screen print.
Sublimation printing
Sublimation is a digital printing technique where you can print full-color images onto white items that are provided with the necessary coating. First, the image or logo is printed onto sublimation paper using full-color printing (CMYK). These printed sheets are applied to the product using pressure and heat. During this process, the ink changes from solid particles to gas, which penetrates the surface of the object. After the object cools, the color is fixed in the surface or coating of the item.
Pad printing
Pad printing is a technique where silicone "stamps" are used to print a logo onto an object. This technique achieves sharp printing and perfect color matching (PMS). Pad printing is the most widely used printing technique, where the logo is etched onto a metal plate and then transferred to the object using a silicone carrier, as ink does not adhere to silicone. As with screen printing, each color must be printed separately.
UV printing
UV printing is carried out in a full-color digital printer, where the product is placed and directly printed. Digital printing is most commonly used for printing on flat and smooth surfaces because the distance from the print head to the object is fixed. The printer can print in CMYK color mode, but also in white.
360 UV Printing
The company i-reklamka s.r.o. also offers digital 360 printing on cylindrical objects, such as glass, plastic, or metal bottles. This technique is only possible on items without handles.
Embroidery
Embroidery is a technique in which multiple stitches are combined to create an image or logo. It is a very popular technique for branding items such as caps, textiles, or bags. First, a special embroidery file is created, containing all the embroidery details and machine settings. The item is placed under a sewing machine, whose sewing heads can contain up to 12 needles (15 different threads (colors) can be embroidered in one run).
