Printing of drawings and project documentation

Documentation is rarely printed in peace – it’s usually handled the day before submission to the building authority or just before an inspection day. We print large-format on a Canon ColorWave in Skuteč, from rolls up to 1067 mm wide. Thanks to CrystalPoint technology, the print is dry and smudge-resistant immediately. It won’t smear even on a damp construction site and is easy to write on.

What we print

• Project documentation – planning, building permit, and construction documentation.
• Construction and engineering drawings – floor plans, sections, elevations, details, shop drawings.
• Site and coordination plans, cadastral and map data.
• Building passports, technical reports, and documentation attachments.
• Visualizations and presentation plans in full color on thicker paper.

We print from digital data – preferably PDF, but we also handle DWG and PLT.

Drawing formats

• A0 – 841 × 1189 mm, standard plan and site layout.
• A1 – 594 × 841 mm, most common format for floor plans and sections.
• A2 – 420 × 594 mm.
• A3 – 297 × 420 mm, details and diagrams.
• A4 – 210 × 297 mm, technical reports and attachments.
• Mixed documentation – if you have everything together in one PDF, just enter the total number of A4 formats and the price will be calculated from that.

Drawing printing price

We convert everything to a single unit – the A4 format. One A0 drawing equals 16 A4 formats, A1 is 8, A2 is 4, and A3 is 2. Based on the total number of A4 formats in the order, the following price per A4 format applies:

Prices exclude VAT. You never pay more between tiers than at their threshold – if a larger order is cheaper, we charge you the lower price. Thus, 29 A4 formats never cost more than 30. The minimum order price is CZK 200 excluding VAT.

Paper types

• 80 g standard – common plotter paper for work and submission sets, included in the base price.
• 90 g tracing – translucent tracing paper for archive sets and redrafting (+40%).
• 120 g heavy – for drawings that will be handled frequently (+30%).
• 160 g cardstock – stiff paper for presentation plans and visualizations (+80%).

For drawings with high area coverage – visualizations, full colored areas, map backgrounds – we add a 50% surcharge for ink consumption. Standard line drawings under 50% coverage do not have this surcharge.

Folding drawings to A4

We fold finished drawings using an Estefold folder directly to A4 format so they can be filed in a binder or documentation folder and the title block remains on top. For formats up to 914 mm wide, machine folding is included in the printing price. Wider drawings are folded manually for CZK 3 per piece. If you want drawings in a roll or will fold them yourself, select “No folding” in the configurator.

Set numbering and documentation folders

When submitting documentation in multiple copies, we number individual sets – CZK 0.50 per drawing. You won’t have to worry about which set is which at the office. We can also add documentation folders for CZK 45 per piece, so the set doesn’t go to the building authority in a plastic bag.

Planography, plotting, plotter printing

Whether you call it planography, drawing plotting, or simply project printing, it’s all the same to us and we do it daily. The only difference is the technology – instead of a classic plotter, we use a Canon ColorWave, which prints faster and folds instantly. We print from digital files: PDF, DWG, and PLT. We do not offer scanning of paper originals at this time.

• Standard – 3–4 business days.
• Express – 1–2 business days.
• No rush – 5–10 business days.

The selected timeframe will be immediately reflected in the price in the configurator.

How to prepare files

• Preferably PDF, one file for the entire set or one file per drawing.
• Drawing at 1:1 scale – so an A1 should actually be 594 × 841 mm in the PDF.
• Lines at least 0.13 mm to ensure legibility after printing.
• Fonts should be converted to curves or embedded in the PDF.
• Drawings without crop marks and without bleed – we print to the exact format.
