Brochure and Catalog Printing from 25 Units
Brochures, catalogs, programs, and price lists with V1 saddle stitching – two staples in the spine. We print digitally on the Xerox Versant 3100, making runs as small as 25 units cost-effective without needing to order thousands. The sheet is folded, stitched, and three-side trimmed directly in the machine – you get a finished brochure with a clean trim, not a stack of papers.
Brochure Formats
- A5 – 148 × 210 mm. The most common format for catalogs, programs, and product sheets.
- A4 – 210 × 297 mm. Professional catalogs, annual reports, and technical manuals.
- 170 × 240 mm – a designer format between A5 and A4. It looks more expensive than it is, and competitors often don’t offer it.
Need a custom size? Email us at info@i-reklamka.cz. Our booklet maker handles sheets from 182 × 257 mm to 330 × 488 mm, so there’s plenty of room.
Page Count and Saddle Stitching
For saddle stitching, the page count must always be divisible by four – one sheet creates four pages. The minimum is 8 pages, the maximum is 120 pages (30 sheets), which is the limit of the stitching unit.
For higher paper weights, expect a lower page range – approximately 80 g up to 120 pages, 150 g up to 80 pages, 200 g up to 60 pages. A thick spine also causes ‘creep’ (inner pages protruding), which is trimmed off; for counts over 40 pages, leave a larger margin at the front edge.
Paper – Inner Pages and Cover
You select the interior and cover separately, including the color scheme – typically a 4/4 color cover and a 1/1 black and white interior, which significantly reduces the price for text-heavy catalogs. A classic paper combination is 115 g or 130 g coated paper for the interior and 200 g to 250 g coated paper for the cover.
- 80 g white offset – the most affordable inner paper, easy to write on with a pen
- 115 g, 130 g, and 170 g gloss or matte coated – standard catalog inner pages
- 200 g, 250 g, 300 g, and 350 g gloss or matte coated – covers and sturdier brochures
The page count is limited by the interior paper weight – the thicker the paper, the fewer pages can be stapled and folded. As a guide, we can handle 120 pages at 80–130 g, 72 pages at 170 g, 60 pages at 200 g, and 48 pages at 250 g. The calculator monitors this and will alert you to impossible combinations.
Cover lamination
We can laminate the cover on both sides in a matte or glossy finish. We laminate the sheets before folding, so the film holds right to the edge and the spine doesn’t scuff. Interior pages are not laminated. Matte looks more premium and doesn’t show fingerprints, while gloss makes photos pop.
How to Prepare Files for Your Brochure
- Send one PDF as single pages in the correct order, not as spreads – we will handle the imposition ourselves.
- Page 1 is the front cover, the last page is the back cover.
- 3 mm bleed on all sides, text and logos at least 5 mm from the trim line.
- CMYK, 300 dpi, fonts converted to outlines or embedded in the PDF.
- Do not include crop marks in the layout – we add them during imposition.

FAQ
Why must the page count be divisible by four?
One sheet is folded in half to create four printable pages. Any other count is physically impossible for saddle stitching – if your content doesn’t fit, add a blank page or a colophon.
Are covers included in the page count?
Yes. An eight-page brochure consists of four cover pages and four inner pages.
Can I have the cover on different paper?
Yes, you select it separately. If you want everything on the same paper, choose the same option for both the cover and the inner pages.
Do you offer cover lamination?
Yes, select it directly in the calculator under the Cover Lamination item – both matte and gloss, always double-sided.
What is the minimum order quantity?
25 units. Smaller runs are priced as 25 units because the machine setup and preparation costs remain the same.
