Folded leaflets from just 25 pieces
We print on the Xerox Versant 3100 production press, which features an integrated folding module—leaflets come out of the machine already folded. For heavier papers, we first crease using the Duplo DC 545 cutter/creaser to prevent the fold from cracking and the toner from flaking.
Everything is printed on large SRA3 sheets and trimmed to the final size at the end. The price in the calculator is final: it includes printing, paper, trimming, folding, and creasing.
Formats and fold types
- A4 to A5 – 1 fold, 4 pages. Flat 210 × 297 mm, folded 148 × 210 mm.
- A4 to DL, Z-fold – 2 folds, 6 pages. Accordion fold, all three panels are equal width.
- A4 to DL, C-fold – 2 folds, 6 pages. Letter fold, panels fold into each other.
- A3 to A4 – 1 fold, 4 pages. Flat 297 × 420 mm, folded 210 × 297 mm.
- A5 to A6 – 1 fold, 4 pages. Small leaflet for mailboxes or counters.
- A6 accordion – 3 folds, 8 pages. Flat 420 × 148 mm, folded 105 × 148 mm.
- DL accordion – 3 folds, 8 pages. Flat 396 × 210 mm, folded 99 × 210 mm.

Paper types
Eight materials, paper is always calculated per full SRA3 sheet:
- 80 g white offset paper – cheapest option for mailbox drops
- 115 g, 130 g, and 170 g gloss or matte coated paper – classic folded leaflets
- 200 g, 250 g, 300 g, and 350 g gloss or matte coated paper – rigid leaflets and programs
We automatically crease from 170 g upwards; the calculator adds the creasing surcharge automatically.
Color options
The first number is the front, the second is the back. Four means full-color printing (CMYK), one means black and white.
- 4/4 – double-sided color
- 4/0 – single-sided color
- 1/1 – double-sided B&W
- 1/0 – single-sided B&W
How to prepare data for a folded leaflet
Send PDFs in flat 1:1 format, in CMYK, with image resolution of at least 300 dpi. Include a 3 mm bleed and keep text 3 mm from the edges and fold lines.
For a C-fold, the panels must not be the same width: the inner panel that folds inside must be about 2 mm narrower, otherwise the leaflet won’t close properly. For a Z-fold, all panels are equal.

FAQ
What is the minimum order?
25 pieces. Machine folding is worth it even for small runs because the folding setup is charged once per order, not per piece.
What is the difference between a Z-fold and a C-fold?
Both have two folds and six pages. A Z-fold is an accordion fold—the leaflet opens like a concertina. A C-fold closes like a letter, hiding one panel inside; it’s ideal when you want a continuous image on the outer side.
Why is heavy paper creased?
Coated paper over 170 g would crack at the fold and the toner would flake off. A creaser creates a groove in the paper, allowing the leaflet to fold cleanly.
Can you print a larger flat format?
The machine handles SRA3 sheets, i.e., 320 × 450 mm. We can produce anything that fits on it—just contact us.
