How we make the stickers
We print the design onto film in our own workshop in Skuteč, then use a cutting plotter to follow the contour—a blade that cuts only the top film, leaving the backing paper intact. This ensures the sticker holds the exact shape of your logo, even with sharp edges or internal cutouts. You don’t get a printed rectangle, you get the shape.
White films are printed on a Canon Colorado 1640 UV printer, where the print is dry the moment it leaves the machine. Transparent, chrome, holographic, and glitter films go on the Mimaki UJV100-160 because it can print white ink. This is crucial for these materials—without a white underprint, colors would remain translucent and dull as the background would show through. We therefore print white under the design automatically, and it is included in the price.
We cut the contours on Graphtec FC8000 and GCC Jaguar plotters. These automatically measure crop marks, so the cut matches the print with a precision of tenths of a millimeter, even for orders of thousands of pieces.
Your options
Glossy white film is a classic, forming the bulk of our orders. Colors look exactly as you see them on your monitor. Matte white is the same but without reflections—ideal for stickers that will be photographed or placed under bright lights.
Transparent stickers look as if the design was printed directly onto the glass. They are used for shop windows, doors, fridges, and glass partitions. We can print them with a white underprint for saturated colors, or without it if you want them to be translucent.
Holographic stickers change color depending on the viewing angle. These are the ones people grab first at events, and they are also used as a security feature against copying.
Chrome silver film has a mirror surface and looks like metal. It suits technical products, rating plates, and limited editions.
Glitter film shimmers with depth, not just on the surface — it is perfect for merch, gift packs, and anywhere a sticker needs to grab attention.
Lamination is optional, but we recommend it for anything going outdoors or handled frequently. It protects the print against scratches, chemicals, and especially UV radiation, which would otherwise cause colors to fade within a year. Glossy lamination deepens colors, while matte is more pleasant to the touch and eliminates reflections.
How to prepare your files
We work best with vectors—PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG. Convert text to outlines (curves), otherwise it may be rendered in a different font. If you only have a bitmap, send a PNG or JPG at a resolution of at least 300 dpi at actual size; for PNGs with a transparent background, we will create the contour ourselves.
Allow for a 3 mm bleed around the design and keep important elements at least 3 mm from the edge—the plotter has a tolerance, and text too close to the edge could be cut into. If you draw the cutting contour yourself, save it as a spot color named CutContour on a separate layer.
Don’t have the files? Check the box in the order for us to prepare the graphics, describe what you need, and we will send you a design and price. You will always receive a preview for approval before printing—this is free, and we don’t print anything without your sign-off.
FAQ
Will the stickers last outdoors?
Yes. With lamination, we expect an outdoor lifespan of 3 to 5 years; without lamination, it’s about a year before colors start to fade. Indoors, they last significantly longer.
Can the sticker be removed without residue?
From smooth, non-porous surfaces—glass, paint, metal, plastic—yes, especially if you warm it up with a hairdryer first. It cannot be removed cleanly from walls, wood, or paper.
Can I put them on a car and go through a car wash?
Yes, if they are laminated. Lamination withstands both brush and touchless car washes. Apply to clean, degreased paint and do not wash the car for the first day to allow the adhesive time to set.
What are the minimum and maximum possible sizes?
The smallest reasonable size is about 1 cm—below that, the plotter cannot maintain detail. The largest is limited by the roll width, which is 150 cm; longer designs are printed in strips or as cut vinyl graphics.
Can I have multiple designs in one order?
You can, but each design counts as a separate job because it requires its own setup and cut. For smaller designs, it’s usually cheaper to place them on a single sticker sheet—contact us and we’ll calculate both options for you.
How long does production take?
Delivery time is within a few business days, depending on current stock and production load. If you need a specific date, send an inquiry or call us at +420 469 811 991.
