Blockout banner with double-sided printing
Blockout coated 510 g features an internal black blackout layer. Nothing shows through, so it can be printed on both sides and works even in direct backlight. Use it for double-sided signs, free-hanging banners, screens, or anywhere a standard frontlit would be translucent. Calculate your price directly here in the configurator.
Single-sided or double-sided
With single-sided printing, the front is printed and the back remains white. The internal black layer ensures the design doesn’t show through and colors remain saturated even in backlight.
With double-sided printing, we print both sides—each with a different design if you wish. Printing the second side costs 90% more per square meter; it requires a second pass through the machine with the same ink consumption. Switch the option in the calculator and the price updates instantly.
Custom dimensions
Choose from common sizes or enter your own to the nearest centimeter. We print widths up to 160 cm in-house in Skuteč, and can handle larger dimensions too. We always charge for at least one square meter.
Eyelets included in the price
Every banner includes metal eyelets every 50 cm, always in the corners, at no extra cost. If the banner hangs in a windy spot or you are tensioning it on a frame, choose a tighter spacing—40, 30, or 20 cm. You only pay for the extra eyelets, 9 CZK per piece.
How to prepare your files
Ideally, send a PDF at actual size or 1:10 scale. Allow for a 3 cm bleed all around; keep important elements at least 8 cm from the edge so they aren’t covered by eyelets.
For double-sided printing, send one two-page PDF—the first page is the front, the second is the back. Both sides must have the same dimensions. Find details in the PDF guide next to the order form.

FAQ
Why does double-sided printing cost almost double?
Because it really is two prints. The banner passes through the machine a second time, uses the same amount of ink, and requires time for precise alignment of both sides. However, you don’t pay for the material twice, which is why the surcharge is 90%, not 100%.
Does the design have to be the same on both sides?
No. It is common to have a different language or a different offer on each side. Send a two-page PDF and specify which side is the front.
Is blockout truly opaque?
Yes. The internal black layer is opaque, so even against bright sunlight, the design from one side is not visible from the other.
Is blockout heavier than frontlit?
The weight is the same, 510 g, but blockout is stiffer and harder to fold. Keep this in mind for shipping and installation of large banners.
When to choose blockout vs. frontlit?
Choose blockout where the banner hangs freely, has sun shining from behind, or if you want double-sided print. For facades and fences, frontlit is sufficient and cheaper. And when a banner needs to be visible after dark in car headlights, use a reflective banner.
How long does it last outdoors?
Same as frontlit—roughly two to three years without visible color changes. The material itself lasts longer.
What is the smallest reasonable size?
We always charge a minimum of one square meter. Below roughly 50 × 50 cm, a board or sticker is usually more practical.
