Custom reflective banner
A reflective banner looks like any other during the day, but as soon as headlights hit it in the dark, it glows. We print on retroreflective material up to 160 cm wide at our facility in Skuteč. When a reflective banner pays off
Anywhere people pass by in cars after dark: roadsides and ramps, site fencing, construction barriers, or around sports fields and tracks. It also works as a safety feature — a reflective strip on a railing or vehicle is visible much sooner than a standard print.
If you need road signage according to official standards, contact us. That requires certified film and is handled separately.
How reflection works
The material does not glow on its own. It reflects light back to the source, so the glow is best seen by the person shining light on the banner — a driver in their own headlights or a photographer with a flash. Passers-by without a light source will see a normal print.
Light areas reflect the most. Color is printed translucently over the reflective base, so the more ink used, the weaker the reflection. Dark blue or black areas barely reflect at all. The best results come from large simple shapes, bold logos, and plenty of light space around them.
Custom dimensions
Choose from the most common sizes or enter your own exact centimeters. We always charge for at least one square meter. If you know you need more pieces, order them all at once — the price per unit drops with quantity, and you will see this immediately in the bulk pricing table.
Eyelets included in the price
We provide metal grommets every 50 cm on every banner, always in the corners. There is no extra charge for them.
For windy locations or when stretching onto a frame, choose a tighter spacing — 40, 30, or 20 cm. You only pay for the extra eyelets, nine CZK per piece, and the calculator shows the surcharge instantly.
How to prepare your files
Ideally a PDF at actual size, or at 1:10 scale. Leave a 3 mm bleed all around and keep important elements at least 8 cm from the edge so they aren’t covered by eyelets. At actual size, 100 dpi is sufficient.
For reflective materials, it is better to keep the background light and use dark colors only for text and details. You can find details in the PDF guide next to the order form.

FAQ
Does a reflective banner glow in the dark by itself?
It does not. It is not a phosphorescent material; it only returns light that hits it back to the source. Without headlights, a flashlight, or a flash, it looks like a normal banner.
Why should I use a light background?
Because colors are printed translucently over the reflective layer, and every layer of ink absorbs part of the reflection. White and light shades glow the most, while black areas practically don’t glow at all.
How much more expensive is it than a standard banner?
Roughly four times compared to standard frontlit; the difference is only in the material. For smaller areas — strips, signs, directional elements — it is usually affordable. Reflective material is rarely used for large tarps covering entire facades.
How long does it last outdoors?
We calculate material and reflectivity to last several seasons. As with any banner, the colors are the limiting factor — outdoor inks last roughly two to three years without visible change.
Can it be printed on both sides?
No, the reflective layer is only on one side. If you need a double-sided banner, use blockout material, or we can make two pieces back-to-back.
Can I have it just as a strip?
Certainly, this is how reflective material is most commonly used — a strip around the perimeter is cheaper than the entire surface. Enter the strip dimensions and quantity into the configurator; we will finish the edges and eyelets on each one separately.
What is the minimum size?
Technically any size, but we always charge for at least one square meter. For small reflective signs, it is usually more practical to use reflective film applied to a board.
How fast can you have it ready?
Standard 3–4 business days, express in 1–2. For larger orders, include your deadline in the notes so we know what to expect.
