Mesh banner for scaffolding and fences
Mesh is a 270 g perforated material — a mesh that wind passes through. That is exactly why mesh is used for scaffolding, fences, and high surfaces instead of a regular banner: it doesn’t pull on the anchors and doesn’t act like a ship’s sail. We produce banners with your print up to 160 cm wide in Skuteč, and we can handle larger dimensions too. Metal eyelets every 50 cm are included in the price, and you can calculate the cost directly here in the configurator.
When to choose mesh
Always when the surface hangs high or in an open area: scaffolding during renovation, construction site fencing, sports field barriers, facades, or roadside barriers. For large areas, it’s often more than a recommendation — building owners or structural engineers simply won’t allow a solid banner on scaffolding.
For facades, stages, or walls where wind isn’t a risk, classic frontlit is cheaper.
What mesh looks like
Up close, you can see it’s a net with small holes. From ten meters away, the eye doesn’t notice them and the design looks solid. Colors are slightly lighter than on solid banners — part of the surface consists of holes, so there is simply no color there. Keep this in mind for subtle shades and corporate colors; if the tone is critical, ask for a test print.
You can partially see through the mesh. It’s easier to see from the inside out than vice versa, so windows behind the mesh remain usable and it won’t darken the room for people inside.
Custom dimensions
Choose from the most common sizes or enter your own exact centimeters. We always charge for at least one square meter. If you know you need more pieces, order them all at once — the price per unit drops with quantity, and you will see this immediately in the bulk pricing table.
Eyelets included in the price
We provide metal eyelets every 50 centimeters with every mesh, always in the corners. There is no extra charge for them.
For scaffolding and large areas, we recommend tighter spacing — 40, 30, or 20 cm. You only pay for the extra eyelets, nine crowns per piece, and the calculator shows the surcharge immediately.
How to prepare your files
Ideally a PDF at actual size, or at 1:10 scale. Allow for a 3 cm bleed all around and keep important elements at least 8 cm from the edge so they aren’t covered by eyelets. At actual size, 100 dpi is enough; for large areas, 72 dpi is sufficient.
Additionally, perforation on mesh eats away at detail — make fonts at least 4 cm high and lines thicker than 2 mm. Thin text will break up on the mesh. You can find details in the PDF guide next to the order form.

FAQ
Why mesh instead of a regular banner?
Because of the wind. A solid banner on scaffolding acts like a ship’s sail and pulls on the structure — that’s why building owners and engineers usually won’t allow it for large areas. Mesh lets the wind pass through, and the load is fractional.
Can you see through the mesh?
Partially. More from the inside out than from the outside in, so you can work normally behind a window with mesh. Mesh cannot and is not intended to provide a total blackout.
What size font belongs on mesh?
From four centimeters up and without thin serifs. Perforation eats part of the strokes, so fine text turns grey and breaks up. Make lines thicker than two millimeters.
How is mesh hung on scaffolding?
Using the eyelets with bungee cords or cable ties, around the entire perimeter and with a slight slack. For large areas, choose tighter eyelet spacing — 30 cm is worth it for scaffolding.
Will the mesh last the whole renovation?
A typical renovation takes months, and mesh handles that without problems. We rate the material and colors for two to three years outdoors, so even a longer construction project is fine.
Can mesh be printed on both sides?
No, it is only printed on one side. From the other side, the design is visible mirrored and significantly weaker. When you need two different designs, use blockout.
Can I wash the mesh?
Yes, with water and a sponge or a hose. Do not use a pressure washer up close — high pressure can damage the print and tear the mesh.
How fast can you have it ready?
